Questions about rigid boxes
What makes a box rigid?
A rigid box is made from thick board (often 2 mm greyboard) that does not fold flat. It is wrapped in printed paper and arrives assembled. It costs more than a folding carton and feels much more substantial.
Which closure is best?
Magnetic for the most premium feel, lid-and-base for the strongest classic look, drawer for products you open often. The comparison on this page lists strengths and trade-offs.
How long does a rigid box order take?
About 15 working days for standard production after artwork approval, because of manual assembly. Express options are limited.
Can I add an insert?
Yes. Board, pulp and fabric-wrapped board inserts. EVA foam is available on request but is not paper-based.
What is the minimum order?
Rigid boxes usually start at 100 units. The price per unit drops sharply above 500.
Do rigid boxes ship flat?
No. They are assembled, so freight is higher than for folding cartons.
